FBRP at the OEC 9/18-9/20/23

Last week we hosted a booth at the Outdoor Economy Conference in Cherokee, NC from 9/18-9/20. We had a lot of interesting conversations with people from all over the country and made some great new local connections as well. Jane Margaret Bell, WK Dickson; Andrea Leslie, NCWRC; and Mary Roderick, Land of Sky Regional Council were on booth duty. Andrea also presented as a part of the session “Think Before you Dig: Ecological Considerations for Recreation Planning.”

KCP Greenway Celebration

Please join RiverLink and partners Friday, August 25 for the dedication of the final segment of greenway in the ribbon of parks along the French Broad River in the Amboy Adventure Corridor in Asheville. Enjoy sno-cones, buskers and family friendly activities beginning at 4:00 pm, and spoken word at 5:15 pm as we celebrate the remediation of this once contaminated property and honor the life of RiverLink founder and community visionary, Karen Cragnolin. Then join us and Connect Buncombe for a beverage at Hi-Wire in the RAD beginning at 6.
