Current Work Group Focus
- We are in the process of creating a Technical Resource Map that can be used by practitioners and municipalities in the watershed.
- The map will feature local projects throughout the watershed, including stormwater control measures/green infrastructure, stream and wetland restoration, and aggregated content and data collected over time. It can serve as an opportunity to enhance collaboration between local professionals, increase engagement with the FBRP and position it as a resource hub.
Long Term Goals
- Update and maintain a comprehensive list of local professionals working on projects within the French Broad River watershed to serve as a resource for future projects in the watershed and encourage cross-program collaboration.
- Create an approachable, easy-to-navigate repository of relevant resources that can be applied to our watershed such as streambank restoration guides, grant funding resources, and local non-profits. This will increase value to members and enhance FBRP as a resource hub.
Work Group Highlights
- Established the technical practitioners directory.
- Held a networking event for local professionals, which ultimately led to the addition of more members to the group.
